Community Impact Grant

In 2020, USA Swimming and the USA Swimming Foundation introduced the Community Impact grant program to increase competitive opportunities within USA Swimming clubs. Through these grants, USA Swimming and the USA Swimming Foundation aspire to grow the pipeline of champion athletes and create more opportunities to broaden community access to USA Swimming within diverse communities.

USA Swimming member clubs are eligible for the Community Impact Grant. Clubs are encouraged to apply if they are committed to connecting, collaborating, and impacting their local communities through competitive swimming.

Priority is given to applications if a swim club identifies with at least one of the criteria below:

  • A registered USA Swimming Club that partners with a school, municipality, or other public entity to create new or expand opportunities in communities lacking USA Swimming programming
  • The club is at least 51% women-owned/led
  • The club is at least 51% minority-owned/led
  • A registered USA Swimming Club that partners with and operates out of a Historically Black College or University.
Grant Application Information

The application window for Community Impact Grants runs from early-September to mid-November, with awards announced in early spring of the subsequent year. Interested applicants MUST be a currently registered USA Swimming year-round club member in Good Standing, with the intent to renew their membership for the grant year.
